Beta 4 of SRB2 Classic has been released with further enhancements and fixes. This version also fixes some long-standing bugs, like the all player trigger ignoring dead players - a bug that dates all the way back to the 2.1 days of SRB2.
This version also fixes most OpenGL render order bugs that have plagued Classic for a long time, at the cost of un-fixing floor sprite clipping. It also changes the default play style to Manual after a positive response from the community, although Automatic is still available for anyone who prefer it (however, it's use is now discouraged after many hours of testing).

Between Aug 29 17:40 UTC to Aug 30 12:30 UTC, the srb2classic.net website and master server was down due to an issue at VirtuaCloud, the cloud provider that hosts these servers. The cause was due to an issue with their storage platform, which subsequently made them shut down the affected virtual machines to prevent data leaks. However, overnight, the issue was not resolved for our VM, and the day after at 10:00 UTC, work to set up a new VM on a different location was started as a workaround.
The new VM is located in Lille, France, and was up and running as a full replacement after 2 hours of initiating the work. Major hurdles was outdated VMs, where VirtuaCloud still only provided Debian 12 VMs, forcing us to update to 13 after deployment, and a lack of backups on TLS certificates forcing us to re-deploy new certificates. However, due to the nature of the master server, servers did not get enlisted until a few minutes afterwards due to it's stateless design.
The issue with outdated VMs has been reported to VirtuaCloud so future deployments won't have this issue, and additional precautions will be taken to prevent extended downtimes in the future.

Most notably, issues with maps and addon breakage has been fixed - SUGOI should now work as intended again. Networking has also gotten some fixing, including a crash fix that can occur when joining a server and fixes related bots in multiplayer.
As for features, the automap from DOOM is now available outside of devmode on maps that support and allow it, which can be enabled with the AUTOMAP field on map headers (disabled by default). In addition, some accessibility options have been added, including the ability to turn off earthquake effects and limiting the amount of overlapping sounds that can play simultaneously.
